HYDERABAD: The APCC leaders have requested deployment of sufficient armed forces to provide security in the Kadapa LS constituency in view of disturbances in some areas.
In a representation to the Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal, the PCC leaders Rudraraju Padma Raju, G. Rudraraju and M. Gangadhar here on Wednesday, said that Muslim minority colonies in Jammalamadugu and Pulivendula were sensitive areas and disturbances were already witnessed in Lingala and Simhadripuram mandals. They also complained that Kadapa LS candidate Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy was using government and public places to display his symbol in violation of model code.
He was also availing the services of Christian preachers including his brother-in-law Anil Kumar in the campaign against the code, they said.
