Mega job mela at JNTU-K from tomorrow

Kakinada: JNTU-Kakinada is organising a mega ‘Job Mela' on its premises here on May 15 and 16 in association with SynchroServe Global Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Sixteen companies, including some MNCs, are participating in the event being conducted by the university's Directorate of Industry – Institute Interaction and Training and Placement for the benefit of engineering and MCA students.
ADP, Avantel, Genpact, HCL, Honeywell, Infotech, Leisux, Miracle Soft, Power Mech, SynchroServe, Veda IIT, Incube, Soctronics, AMD, Wipro and 24/7 Customer are the companies offering jobs, according to a press release.
In a preparatory meeting held on Thursday, JNTU-K Vice-Chancellor Allam Appa Rao said it was the first that such a big program was being organized by the university after it's separation from combined JNTU in 2008. The event was aimed at providing for students a direct interface with MNCs and reputed domestic firms.
Appointment letters would be issued on the spot depending on the fulfillment of eligibility criteria and success in the selection process. About 5,000 students are expected to avail of the opportunity. They will be able to interact with representatives of MNCs, who would enlighten them on professional development and tips to success.
