Congress cadres urged to work actively

NIZAMABAD: District Congress Committee president Gadugu Gangadhar has called upon the party cadres to actively take part in the execution of welfare and development schemes launched by the government so that the target groups could be benefitted.
Echoing the view expressed by the new PCC chief in his recent meeting with DCC presidents that the party and the government were not different, he said the Kiran Kumar Reddy government released Rs.160 crore for the provision of basic infrastructure in all schools.

That apart, the party cadres in the days to come need to be in the forefront helping the authorities in the execution of Indiramma Housing Scheme and Jala Prabha, intended to provide water to 10 lakh acres of SC, ST and BC beneficiaries, he said while addressing a press conference here on Friday.
He said many schools have no kitchens and cooking for mid-day meal scheme is taking place under the shade of trees on school premises. However, with the release of fresh funds, the problem could be resolved now. The party cadres should take interest in its implementation, he said.
