Jagan accuses Congress, TDP of unholy collusion


Crowd puller: People in large numbers turn up at the public meeting addressed by YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy at Kadiri mandal headquarters in Anantapur distict on Monday.
ANANTAPUR: The YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday kicked of his 10-day tour of the Anantapur district as part of his ‘Odarpu yatra' in the district.
Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy, who entered the district in the morning, started off his tour from the Namalagundu village of the Talupula mandal in the district where his road show started off with impressive crowds attending it.
Earlier, Anantapur MLA Gurunath Reddy, Rayadurgam MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Topuduthi Kavita, YSR Congress Party district convener Pyla Narasimhiah, besides noted leader of the party Meesala Ranganna welcomed him.
Unveils YSR statue
The road show proceeded to the Gollapalli Thanda village where he unveiled a statue of the former Chief Minister late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and addressed the people from there seeking their blessings to him and the party.
The road show passed through villages in the Talupula and the Kadiri mandals such as Odulapalli, Bandameeda Kothapalli, Rekkamanu cross, Talupula road reaching Kadiri for the public meeting in the afternoon.
Addressing the large crowd of more than 10,000 people, he accused the State government and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) of colluding in an unholy way, to the nemesis of the people.
“Both, Congress and the TDP, have reached an unholy pact just to keep the YSR Congress Party at bay,” he said.
Flays Congress tactics
Accusing the Congress of splurging money besides employing arm twisting tactics to win the Kadapa parliamentary and Assembly by-elections, by deputing 20 Ministers to Kadapa, he said that their nefarious designs could not win due to the love and affection the people had for his father Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and the confidence the had in him.
“All the schemes such as free power, 108 and 104, which worked so immaculately during the YSR reign, were now being slowly shelved by the Congress government,” he alleged.
Later he proceeded to Dhaba Hotel centre through Nagireddy Palle village where he unfurled the party flag.
Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy was accompanied by senior party leaders Bhuma Nagi Reddy and Bhuman Karunakar reddy. Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy will stay overnight at Kadiri mandal headquarters.
