Take a call on Telangana soon: CPI (M)

HYDERABAD: Floor leader of Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Assembly, J. Ranga Reddy, has demanded the Congress leadership and the Centre to take a decision on Telangana issue at the earliest and focus on people's problems.
The State was suffering badly due to the indecision of the Centre on the issue of Telangana and neglecting the people in the name of dealing with the issue, Mr. Reddy said in a statement on Sunday. Instead of addressing the problems of people the ruling party leaders were indulging in separatist politics, he alleged.
The fact that the Congress had not made its mind clear even seven months after the Srikrishna Committee report was indicating its political bankruptcy, he remarked and alleged that the ruling party was professing different arguments in different regions in the State. People were waiting for an opportunity to teach a lesson to the ruling party as it had been repeatedly deceiving people on the issue.
He blamed the government for its inability to provide seed to farmers even 20 days after the commencement of kharif season.
It had also failed in providing basic facilities in schools and hostels including non-supply of books and uniforms.
The law and order situation was serious as all sorts of crimes were on the rise as the government was in deep slumber, he said.
