Tammineni challneges Dharmana to open debate

SRIKAKULAM: Former Minister Tammineni Seetaram on Sunday challenged Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao to come out for an open discussion on the welfare programmes being taken up for fishermen community during Telugu Desam and Congress regimes.
He alleged that the Minister was playing with the lives of the fishermen community by encouraging establishment of thermal and nuclear plants in the district.
He feared that thousands of fishermen families would become homeless with the construction of thermal plants all along coastal belt.
The Telugu Desam will chalk out an action plan on Monday to highlight the “misdeeds” of the ruling party in the district. In-charges of the Assembly constituencies and senior leaders will attend the meeting. The party is planning to organise massive agitations by end of this month.
