CPI, TDP seek probe

HYDERABAD: The Communist Party of India (CPI) has demanded an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the unfolding “financial irregularities” of Sri Satya Sai Central Trust at Puttaparthi in Anantapur district. Sathya Sai Baba was treated as incarnation of god by his believers, but unfortunately he was denied proper medical care in his last days of life by the trust which he had set up. The whole episode smacked a conspiracy. In a statement issued on Monday party secretary V.S. Bose also criticised the State Government for keeping silent on the issue.
Kiran blamed
Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Dadi Veerabhadra Rao has demanded an inquiry into the alleged irregularities in Sri Satya Sai Central Trust by a Supreme Court Judge and booking of criminal cases against “guilty” trust members. In a statement issued here on Monday, Mr. Rao blamed the attitude of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy in dealing with the issue and felt that he should take the responsibility to the huge cash siphoned off from the trust.
