Praja Rajyam demands CBI probe into Jagan's assets

HYDERABAD: Stung by the sharp criticism heaped by the YSR Congress Party president Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy on K. Chiranjeevi, the Praja Rajyam legislators hit back at the former demanding that the State government seek a CBI probe into ‘ill gotten wealth' of the MP-elect.
Five Praja Rajyam MLAs – Bandaru Satyananda Rao, Kanna Babu, M. Sridhar Krishna Reddy, A. Maheswara Reddy and Yellamanchili Ravi – at a press conference on Saturday said Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy has no moral right to talk ill about Mr. Chiranjeevi.
They said Mr. Chiranjeevi was a disciplined man, who never hankered for posts. “Instead, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy not only benefitted from his father's administration but also made a desperate bid to become the Chief Minister by taking up signature campaign,” Mr. Satyananda Rao said.
All aspects
They demanded that the probe should look into all aspects including investments made into the media house owned by Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy.
At another press conference, rebel PR MLA Shoba Nagi Reddy lashed out her colleagues.
She said Mr. Chiranjeevi has no ethics as he readily agreed to merge his party with the Congress in anticipation of getting posts.
On the other hand, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy sacrificed his MP seat for values and got re-elected with huge margin as he had mass public support.
The rebel PR MLA said in the coming local bodies polls, YSR Congress Party would come out in flying colours.
