Jagan to counter anti-people policies

KADAPA: YSR Congress Party president and Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohana Reddy asserted on Saturday that he would wage an uncompromising struggle against the anti-people policies of the State and Central governments.
Speaking to newsmen at the TTD kalyana mantapam in Thondur in Pulivendula constituency, he called upon party activists on Saturday to strive to strengthen the party from the village-level in order to emerge victorious in the forthcoming local body elections. The ruling Congress was ignoring the farmers' plight by colluding with the Telugu Desam Party, which was failing to play the Opposition party role, he alleged.
Addressing people after unveiling his father Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's statue at Mallela village in Thondur mandal, he flayed the Kiran Kumar Reddy government accusing it of failing to ensure remunerative prices to farmers and enhancing the price of seed. He criticised the TDP for failing to move a no-confidence against the Congress government, which failed on all fronts. He also unveiled YSR's statue at Muthukur in Vempalle mandal.
