Jagan takes up ‘Odarpu Yatra' in Proddatur

KADAPA: YSR Congress Party president and Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy undertook Odarpu yatra and consoled the bereaved families of five deceased persons in Proddatur constituency and one family in Vempalle mandal and unveiled two statues of his father Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in Proddatur on Friday.
He assured to stand by them and extend necessary assistance. He visited the house of Ulasani Balarangaiah in Mittamadi street in Proddatur town and consoled his family members. He also consoled the family of Dr. Raja Ramamohana Reddy of Proddatur, whose son and dentist Raghava Reddy died in a road accident recently.
When some girl students represented to Mr. Jaganmohana Reddy that their hostel was proposed to be shifted to the outskirts of Proddatur town, the MP assured to speak to the District Collector and resolve their problem.
Earlier, Mr. Jagan visited Sri Amrutheswar temple on the banks of Pennar river in Proddatur and offered prayers. Temple priests welcomed him with poornakumbham. Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy also visited the house of YSR Congress Party leader Jagadeka Reddy and blessed the new couple. Party leader and former in charge municipal chairman Rachamallu Prasada Reddy and other leaders participated.
